The Good, the Bad, and the Fearless

Catching the news from Gaza today sort of brought this to a boil for me.  Hamas massacring Fatah gunmen on their knees and tossing men from high rise rooftops while wives, mothers and children cower, and the accompanying declaration that "Justice and Islamic law have now come to Gaza to stay," sort of put me over the edge.

From their bans on music, their women in floor length blankets, female circumcision, the general, institutional oppression of half of humanity, their slavery, jizyah, dhimmitude, stoning for adultery and homosexuality, mandatory prayer times that don't "count" if you didn't wash after taking a pee, Jew-hatred, Christian-hatred, wife-beating, rules for this, rules for that, rules, rules, rules (has Allah nothing better to do?), and, worst of all, the hatred of dogs :>), Islam appears to me to be a system of thought that has as its intended effect the crushing of everything worthy of being called human.

I hate Islam.  Read it carefully.  I didn't say "Muslims."  If anything I feel pity for the average Muslim, not hatred.

I can sum this up succinctly.  If the Allah of Islam is in fact the almighty creator of the universe, fuck him.  Every human being worth the salt in the blood in his veins -- if this Allah is God -- should call out to the demons of hell and enlist with them for this fight.  Islam should be destroyed -- not "even if," but especially if -- if the soul-crushing tyrant of a god that that religion worships is who they claim.

Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid nor dismayed ...

Greenland is Melting

Isn't that actuallly a good thing?   Why do you suppose they called it "Greenland" in the first palce?  Beacuse it was covered in ice?  I don't think so.  In other words, the temps are returning to around what they were in the Middle Ages, when Greenland was arable land.
